Yes, it was another big weekend in the P household – after my race on Saturday, I got to get up early on Sunday and do it all again (though thankfully as a spectator)! Big Boy and Little Boy both raced the TRI for KIDS #2 and both of them turned in huge PR performances!
Of course I made a movie:
I absolutely love watching all the kids competing and working hard to do their best. I got to see two of my former preschool students kicking booty and earning podium spots, which was thrilling! (They are sisters, so it wasn’t too crazy of a coincidence to see two former students at one event.) I think my favorite, though, was this little cutie-pie:
She’s just FOUR years old and she covered the same distance as all the other kids in the under-10 division: 50 yard swim, 4 mile bike (which she did with training wheels!!) and 1 mile run! The whole time she was out on the course she had the biggest, happiest smile on her face. When I grow up, I want to be as awesome as her!!
And in other race weekend randomness, the photos from my race have been posted and I was miscategorized for both the bike and the run as a man. Okay, I know I don’t have an overabundance of boobage, but ouch! Apparently I will be wearing my bumblebee outfit again for race number three.
Yeah for your kids! Your family is awesome. And that little girl is too precious. That is some serious mileage at her age.
4 years old!? That’s amazing and I think she’s my hero!
You have the most wonderful, active family! Congrats again!
That little girl is one toughy! So cute!
She’s gorgeous!! I love that she did her bike leg with training wheels on. Now I know it’s allowed I might even consider looking at a tri. But only if they also allow me to wear floaties in the swim leg.
Yay for your boys!! That is so awesome! I can’t wait till my boys are old enough and able to do kid tris too!
What an amazing little athlete – the girl!
And of course, your BOY has great form!! Love it!!
I’ve never actually seen a kids race, they look so fun! Awesome job by your kids!
I love watching kids race. They love it for the pure joy that it brings and that is awesome!
Congrats to your boys!
You boys are awesome! I can’t believe that little girl, she could probably kick my butt in a race! What a cool little chick!
That’s super awesome that your kids participated! 🙂 And that girl is awesome…
When I grow up I want to run as fast as your son!! Yikes!
